Serving Others Through Chiropractic Care

Hey, y’all! My name is Dr. Brandon! Here’s a little synopsis of who I am and what I am about: I am a Christ-follower, husband, father, and perinatal and pediatric chiropractor, in that order. I grew up in southern Indiana, corn and basketball country.  I moved to Knoxville, TN in 2003 to attend Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University).  I graduated Johnson with a Bachelor’s in Bible and Church Music and went on to serve as a worship pastor in a full-time capacity for almost 11 years.  Roughly 10 years ago, God called me out of a full-time career as a worship pastor and into chiropractic. After fighting that calling for several months, and with much counsel and prayer, I followed the call and started pursuing a career in chiropractic.  I, with my family in tow, moved to St. Louis, MO to attend Logan University. I graduated top of my class with my Doctorate in Chiropractic and Masters in Nutrition and Human Performance. I tell people often, I feel like I have just as many or more opportunities to minister to others now as a chiropractor as I did in vocational ministry. I truly believe that our bodies are created wonderfully by our Creator to heal from within and God should receive all the glory for being the healer of our diseases (Exodus 15:26).

My wife, Breann, has believed in me and stuck by my side through a lot over the past 21+ years of marriage. She continues to support my chiropractic calling by serving as my business manager. She is not present at the office now as she was at the beginning of the practice due to homeschooling 5 of our 7 children, but she still does a ton behind the scenes. Even though I may have the masters degree in nutrition, I’m constantly learning from her. She has persevered through many chronic health issues and has taught me the importance of listening to patients and trusting a mom’s intuition.

When I’m not at the office, you’ll typically find me hanging out with my wife and 7 children. We have 5 boys and 2 girls ranging from 11 down to 1. We love our church family at Eden Chapel, playing sports outside, doing Friday night movie or game nights, and going to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.

When I am at the office, you’ll typically still find me hanging out and taking care of kids. The passion that I discovered in chiropractic school was how much I love taking care of women during pregnancy, babies, and kiddos. I have advanced post-doctoral training in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care. I am Webster technique certified, which is the gold-standard training to provide chiropractic care to women during pregnancy. I also have a certification in pediatric and family chiropractic care from Life University and am working on another infant cranial certification currently through The Peak Institute. I have the best job ever getting to take care of families through every season of life. I absolutely love being the first stop for families looking for hope, answers, and help through a drug-free approach to health!

Our Mission

At Cherish Family Chiropractic, our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  We exist to serve others and to point people to the light of hope.  By utilizing chiropractic, nutrition, and our various gifts, we bring glory to God, our maker and sustainer.  With God being the source of all healing, wisdom, and knowledge, we work to impart His truth and bring true restoration.

Our Vision

We strive to be the first-stop for all things pediatric, pregnancy, health, and wellness.  We want to provide superior neurologically-focused chiropractic care and be a resource for families on their healing and life journeys.  We want to see our community thriving and  finding true hope, help, and health.

Our Name

cherish- verb; to hold dear, to keep or cultivate with care and affection

(Merriam Webster Dictionary)

We named our practice Cherish Family Chiropractic based on our deep desire to care for families. In a culture that is trying to destroy the family unit, we want to be a light of hope that sees children as a blessing and not an inconvenience.

Hey there! I’m Breann, Dr. Brandon’s wife. I wasn’t born in TN, but I was raised here in beautiful South Knoxville just across the Seymour line. This is home! Go Vols!!! LOL!

My journey with chiropractic began back in my childhood as a 10 year old girl. I had been a competitive gymnast for several years when I started to have very consistent, irritating back pain. My mom took me to her childhood chiropractor, Dr. Simmons, for my first adjustment. I felt so much better afterward! I was able to do my beloved gymnastics back pain free! From then on, my parents took me for regular adjustments to keep me going.

I met my wonderful husband and best friend at Johnson Bible College (Johnson University) in 2004. It wasn’t love at first sight for me, but he grew on me! We married in 2005. We both finished up school and graduated in 2007. We served at a church in Farragut for 5 1/2 years; then we moved to northeastern Ohio to serve at a church for almost 5 years.

During that time, I struggled with infertility, Lyme disease, mold toxicity, Hashimoto’s, brain fog, food/chemical allergies, severe inflammation, and whole body eczema flare ups. The traditional medical model just kept trying to throw steroids at it which were just a bandaid for my symptoms and not getting to the root cause of anything that I was dealing with. Being the research nerd that I am, I became my own advocate and started leaving no stone unturned to find something that would help. I accidentally (divinely) discovered neurologically-focused chiropractic care. That is where things started to change, and I started my healing journey!

The focus on the functioning of my nervous system was the root that I needed to initiate the body’s God-given healing processes! Without neurologically-focused chiropractic care, none of the other treatments that came after would have been near as effective.

Fast forward several years and here I am: wife to my phenomenal husband for 21 years, mom to 7 God-given, little blessings, Lyme free, mold free, brain fog free, significantly reduced allergies, inflammation free, and minimal eczema flare ups! I’m still on a healing journey, but neurologically-focused chiropractic care is such an integral piece.

For fun, I enjoy reading/researching, listening to classical/jazz/complex music of many genres, ballroom dancing, watching a good football game, and spending time with my wonderful husband and kiddos.  As a family, we enjoy playing sports and board games, reading books, going for walks/hikes, going to the beach, and being involved at church.

Office Manager

Hey! I’m Savanna! I’m a born and raised Seymour local with a love for helping others!

I found a love for chiropractic as a way to help manage migraines, however it wasn’t until I found Dr. Brandon that I was able to really get ahead of the game with my migraine management. His neurologically-focused chiropractic technique really helped my body gain momentum in managing my nervous system as a whole. Not only am I having less migraines but my anxiety level has calmed down too. I tell Dr. Brandon all the time that I wish I would have known chiropractic was a game changer when it comes to babies and kiddos!

I am a mom to 3 kiddos where one kiddo has struggled with epilepsy and migraines and another kiddo has struggled since birth from colic, GI issues, sensory issues, PANS, allergies, eczema, and anxiety and the third kiddo is just wild with energy overload! Chiropractic for them has changed the game in our household to where we are seeing true healing begin within their bodies! It’s been a true blessing and I am so thankful God opened up the doors to Dr. Brandon and Cherish Family Chiropractic.

When I am not at work soaking up all the knowledge of how neurologically-focused chiropractic can make an impact in healing and cuddling babies, I am spending time with my family and my hubby of 15 years. We love our church family, watching the UT VOLS, hiking, playing in the rivers up and down Townsend, TN, and being outside. Life is a journey and I love walking with people through their journey and watching God change lives.

Kelly Ritter

Care Advocate

Hello, I’m Kelly! I was born and raised in western Michigan. I moved south to North Carolina in 2009 where I married my husband Luke, and we had 3 kids. In 2020, we got the chance to move to East Tennessee for a job opportunity, and my husband was already on a search and rescue team based here; so we took it.

I have always seen a chiropractor since my college days working as a nursing assistant. When I moved to TN, I had the hardest time finding a chiropractor. I knew there was a difference in chiropractors, but I wasn’t sure what the difference was between their philosophies. When I started working here is when I began to learn about neurologically-focused chiropractic, and that is when all the things began to click. I have seen the power of chiropractic in so many areas of my and my family’s life from injury to anxiety related issues.  It has been a gift to work for Dr. Brandon and be a part of helping others in the way I have been helped and more.

When I’m not working I love exploring the beautiful state we live in. Hiking and swimming the creeks in the mountains are my favorite activities. For the rainy days, I love sitting and doing a puzzle while sipping on a good cup of coffee.

Care Advocate

I’m Samantha! I am originally from Northwest Ohio, but God had bigger plans for me here in East Tennessee, where I have now lived for 17 years! Here I have planted my roots and built an incredible family with my husband Chance and our beautifully blended family total of 9!

Chiropractic care has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. Suffering from a multitude of issues neurologically, nervous system related and a constant state of fight or flight, Dr. Brandon’s approach is truly life changing as he prioritizes the nervous system. As a mother, one of my children having a Neuro-Genetic disorder, called Angelman Syndrome, I truly wish I would have known about this approach to care in the early stages of my son’s life and the immense amount of relief it could have provided him. I am privileged that I get to witness the miracles and life changing care that Cherish Family Chiropratic provides and that my family now gets to be a part of it!

When I am not in office, my family and I enjoy getting out and about antiquing, tending to our animals, sports for the kids, family time and traveling when we can. This life is a true blessing, and I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you!

Josiah Russell

Care Advocate

Hello, my name is Josiah! I was born into a military family and moved all over the US throughout my childhood and teenage years. I joined the US Army right out of high school and served for five years. During that time, I met and married my wife, Mikayla. I spent several of those years overseas. I then moved back stateside and lived with my wife in Iowa, where she is from, for a year. In the summer of 2026, we both moved to Seymour, TN, so she could go to school for her master's and, hopefully, settle down in this part of the US for the rest of our lives.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration at Liberty University because God has called me to care for and serve others. A big part of that is how expensive and complicated healthcare is at every level, and I want to do my part to make it better for healthcare workers and their patients. I had temporarily gone to a large corporate chiropractor for a couple of months when I was in the military to sort out back pain, but that never made anything better and arguably made my condition worse. But the personalized care I've received here at Cherish Family Chiropractic reflects a very different philosophy than most other chiropractors. Dr. Brandon provides a level of patient care I haven't seen from many doctors in my life.

When I am not at work, I am either working on schoolwork, hanging out and doing hobbies with my wife, taking care of our dog, or loving and enjoying the outdoors of East Tennessee.
